Full Description

Two small mounds on flat land on top of a spur (S1). One mound (N one) 8m in diameter and approximately 0.75m high, surrounded by a slight depression 3m wide which might indicate a surrounding ditch. Adjoining the S side of the depression is a similarly sized mound, mutilated by the track which runs on its S side. Both mounds have tree stumps on them.
Round barrows are known in this area (for example CSA 002) and these could be mini-barrows (S2).
June 1993: N mound encircled by ditch 3m wide and 0.15m deep in ground surface, well-defined on N and W sides, height c.0.7m, 9m diameter. S mound is 3m to S and is truncated on its southern side by a footpath. Approximately 70% of mound survives, height 0.7m, covering a sub-circular area of 6m N-S and 9m E-W (S3).
