Full Description
2024: Sixteen evaluation trenches were excavated across the site. Despite the archaeological potential of the site, being relatively close to the position of a Roman Road, known as Stone Street (located to the west), and the village of Ilketshall St Lawrence, only two pits, one possible ditch terminus and a probable feature of natural origin were revealed during the evaluation. The features were undated and little further could be indicated about them, except that they were approximately located in the western half of the plot and were perhaps connected with agricultural activities (S1)
