Full Description

A Workhouse for the parish of Haverhill reportedly once stood in this location from at least the late 17th century. The Risbridge Poor Law Union took over the workhouse in 1836 and enlarged it. It is presumed it ceased operation in 1856 when the Risbridge Union Workhouse was erected in Kedington (see KDG 030). (S1)
