Full Description

A building previously used as the parish Workhouse for Woodbridge from 1668 until presumably the 19th century when the Woodbridge Poor Law Union was formed in 1835 and the old Colneis and Carlford Hundred Workhouse taken over in 1836. Prior to its use as a workhouse, the building was a Free School founded 1577-85 and perhaps as a Guildhall before that (see listing details National Ref.1031001).
