Full Description
September 2026. South-West Suffolk Claylands Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AI&M) Project.
A probable field boundary or boundary bank of medieval to post medieval date is visible on aerial photographs (S1), probably as a soilmark, and as an earthwork on visualised lidar data (S2). It may be associated with the minor watercourse to its west, defining the edge of its valley. As the earthwork is visible on lidar visualisations from a relatively recent survey (2022), it is likely that it still survives.
S. Tremlett (Norfolk County Council Environment Team), 6th September 2026.
