Full Description
Monitoring of slurry lagoon which replaces existing smaller ping, visible as blue/black clay area. The ditch to the north along road edge was also being cleaned and widened for a pipe which contained no archaeological finds or features. The lagoon area was largely excavated, with topsoil heaps around. No finds except Post medieval building debris were located on east side, towards existing agricultural buildings. On the south west side of the lagoon, near the entrance, where an area of topsoil had been partly scraped was a spread of flint cobbles. This is a possible hardstanding. No trace of Roman although BUR 020 is immediately North West but soil Very clayey. One possible flint flake noted (S1).
