Full Description

1959: Flint tranchet axe found in road widening at a depth of 4 feet opposite All Saints Church. Basil Brown's sketch map on index card gives exact find spot and there are two sketches of the axe. He was given the axe which he then gave to Moyes Hall Museum (S1).

This find may be the same as IXT 045
