Full Description

Docking Hall and pottery kiln.
C14-C15 pottery from the garden, also later pottery. Pottery kiln at TM 3116 8050. Glazed and unglazed wares of the period circa 1480 - 1530. Probably to be associated with the Sterff family (originally from Weybread). Kiln excavated by M J Hardy, 1983. Site lies on the edge of a large pond. 1839 Tithe Apportionment : William Adair of Flixton, owner, James Fisher occupier (S1).
