Full Description
Long narrow bifacially worked flint implement. Found in the washing and grading machine in a gravel pit, apparently derived from material 18 feet below the surface. However the lack of patination and the shape of the implement make a palaeolithic date uncertain, whereas it does resemble some EBA daggers. Possibly the item came from a higher level and slipped during quarrying to a deeper position (S1).
