Decorated Samian pottery sherds (S2).
In Basil Brown's summary of sites and finds at Long Melford, he says: "Note from Mr Guy Maynard. When excavating for brewery, fragments of terra sigillata coarse ware, including carinated bowl in black smooth ware, and brooches were found. Seen at Brewery House 1936 in possession of proprietor. Decorated terra sigillata - Ipswich Museum 1920-50; middle C2 - Ipswich Museum 1930-50-88" (S1).
