Full Description
Gold ring, openwork hoop, high bezel with plain cabochon garnet C3-C4. Found metal detecting in field beside river Lark. Declared not Treasure Trove at inquest July 1980 (S1).
Filigree set with garnet. Size, 2.1cm (stone & setting); stone 1cm x 0.7cm. Found with metal detector by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s). Bought from Christies at auction for 650 pounds (+ commission 75 pounds), reserve price, 26.11.80, Lot 129.
