Full Description

Two gold penannular bracelets, knobbed terminals. Found in a sewer trench, circa 1970, between Plovers Way and Sicklesmere Road. Declared Treasure Trove 1973 (S1). Details in (S2).
Dated as LBA4/EIA [earliest Iron Age] by O'Connor (S3), where recorded as from 'Nowton'.
Findspot is about 400m away from possible LBA/EIA lithic scatter in Nowton Park (NWN 010).
