Full Description
1929: `Solutrean flint blade' ex Ipswich Museum (1929-27). ?Same as solutrean blade found beneath gravel on S side of the road to Beyton between the Beyton Road and the old gaol, within a few yards of the River Lark (S1). TL 864 632 approximately.
Recorded as from Southgate in Moyses Hall Museum where confirmed as superb Solutrean point by Dr Roger Jacobi in August 1995.
Pettitt and White (S3) argue convincingly, that all British examples claimed to be Solutrean are in fact Earlier Leaf points.
