Full Description

Bronze spearhead, 7.5 ins long x 2 ins wide found during ditching on the moor near Timworth Church, circa 1884 (S1)(R1).
Listed (? and sampled) by Brown & Blin-Stoyle (S1)(R2).
Basal looped, with "pointed-oval faced loops at the base of the blade. Mid rib keeled to middle of socket; ribs running beside mid-rib of blade. Patina blackish". 19.2cms long x 3.8cms wide. Rowlands group 2, illustrated. Prigg then Sir John Evans collection. Found 1873 (S2)(S3)(R3).
