Full Description

Coin hoard and settlement scatter discovered in 1953.
1146 coins, AD 152 - AD 247/249 found in pottery flask covered by a small dish (textile material stopper in jar). Scatter of sherds, quern etc for a considerable area around findspot.
"Pot containing coins found by two warreners on the Heath who were digging out rabbits" (S1)(R1)(R2).
