Full Description

Polished and bored mallet macehead of red deer antler with triple spiral carving. Found near Little Ouse (bridgeworks).
"5-6 feet deep in peat deposit and showed signs of use" (S1). (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s)
Partly polished flint axe found in Little Ouse, bridge site spoil. "Probably connected with spirally decorated object". Reported by B Brown November 1967 (S1).
BSEMH record map marks findspot(?) of mallet with a cross (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) (S2). Accuracy unknown.
