Full Description
Copper or bronze flat axe with thin butt. Length 14.7 cms, width at blade edge 7.3 cm, at butt end 2.6 cm, maximum thickness 9mm. Very corroded, dark green. Found on sandy heath field in 1962 (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) (S1)(S2).
The NBIC (S1) record entry was made by A R Edwardson, his grid references are often slightly inaccurate.
