Full Description
Peartree Farm (site of). The house and all the farm buildings have been flattened and site is now ploughed (1983). Farm site probably incorrectly shown on Tithe Map. The N part of the site (TM 3053 8040) produced C13-C14 pottery as well as C18 and some possible C16 pottery. At the time of the Tithe Apportionment in 1839, this farm belonged to Robert Smith Esq and was occupied by William Mayhew (S1).
