Full Description

'A good bronze axe picked up in North Fen in circa 1958-1959 by either I(see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s)'. From field on left hand side before Wangford Drain bridge on Lakenheath - Wangford road (this field now incorporated with two fields to N into one large field)(S1). This field centres on (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s).
Neither (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) recall finding a bronze axe, though a polished (flint or stone?) axe was found and retained (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) from this area - possibly some confusion over this polished axe. (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) never found a bronze axehead (S2).
