Full Description
Tumulus located E of A1065 at edge of field.
1951 : Lady Briscoe reported tumulus 75 feet in diameter at base, circa 6 feet 8 inches high (S1).
13 January 1972 : A bowl barrow 26.0m in diameter by 1.5m in height situated on sandy heathland. The summit of the barrow is flat and under gorse. The SE side of the barrow has been encroached upon by ploughing. There are no remains of a ditch (S1).
7 January 1976: Covered by gorse. Margins ploughed on E side. Height 1.59m, diameter circa 26m (S2).
12 January 1983: Mound has been spread, 6 feet high (S3).
Adjacent to possible flattened barrow, ERL 034.
February 1998: Scheduled area redefined to include ERL 034 - details in (S3).
