Full Description

Rectilinear field boundaries, not far from rectangular enclosure, TYY 012 (S1). Now largely built over.
Two areas of probable field boundaries, rectilinear enclosures and a possible trackway of unknown date can be seen on aerial photographs to the north of Trimley St Mary, Felixstowe, centred on circa TM28423665 and TM28283684. The two areas of cropmarks are approximately 170 metres apart but are both orientated roughly north-east to south-west and are possibly part of a wider field system. A sub-rectangular enclosure visible approximately 100 metres to the south-west may also be related to this phase of land use (see TYY 012). Most of these features are now obscured or destroyed by housing development. (S2, S3)
