Full Description
Ring ditch/small circular enclosure, circa 40m diameter. Close to two smaller ring ditches, FLK 009 and FLK 010 (S1)(S2)(S3).
A ring ditch, probably the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow, is visible as a cropmark centred on circa TM29023864, to the north of Back Lane in Falkenham parish. The ditch is between 1 and 2 metres wide with a circumference of circa 39 metres. A possible central cut feature of circa 18 metres diameter is visible as an area of differential crop growth enclosed by the ring ditch. A slightly smaller possible barrow is visible immediately to the east (see FLK 036), and possible barrows FLK 009, FLK 010 and FLK 035 are circa 100 metres to the west. (S5-S8)
