Full Description
IA settlement site (Basil Brown records possibly LBA) on two fields either side of Beer Lane. Found during pipeline trench excavation in December 1959, when two hut sites were revealed. Pottery and worked flints particularly in Hut 1 and ditches were cut by pipeline trench. Site is near old ballast pit in corner of field (S1)(R1).
