Full Description

C3 or C4 Rom pottery sherds found on Sax hut and pottery site during stream widening in 1952. Precise location of pottery is TM 0411 7398 as shown on Basil Brown's 6 inch OS map, slightly to NW of hut site. All pottery was vetted by R Rainbird Clarke at NWHCM.
In this area in 1934 Basil Brown had found a Rom pottery sherd, and a coin of Constantine I was found by J Hill in the same area - vetted by BM and since lost (S1)(S2)(R1).
