Full Description
In garden of Hamblyn House during April 1934, Basil Brown excavated to a depth of 2 feet, where he found Rom pottery, bones, oyster shells, calcined flints and charcoal. His report says "Hard stratum of small stones on hill slope and a raised track leading to river". No further information, pottery in archive store (S1).
The parish boundary runs through the garden of Hamblyn House between Rickinghall Superior and Inferior, but the greater part is in Rickinghall Superior. Also Med.
