Full Description
In garden of Hamblyn House during April 1934, Basil Brown excavated to a depth of 2 feet. He found Med C14-C15 pottery, bones, oyster shells, calcined flints and charcoal. His report says "Hard stratum of small stones on hill slope and raised track leading to river". No further information, pottery in archive store (S1).
The parish boundary between Rickinghall Superior and Inferior runs through the garden of Hamblyn House but the greater part is in Rickinghall Superior. Also Rom.
