Full Description
Ring ditch circa 35m diameter W of Shotley Hall, within cropmark complex SLY 006 (S1)(S2)(S3)(S4). (NB Originally recorded at NGR TM 22833617).
A possible Bronze Age round barrow is visible as the cropmark of a ring ditch on aerial photographs to the west of Shotley Hall, centred on TM 22853615. The ring ditch is about 2m to 2.5m in width and encloses an area of 19.5m in diameter. See SLY 006 for the Later Prehistoric or Roman field system and SLY 130 for the nearby Post Medieval field boundary. (S1-S7)
