Trackway with right-angled bend in centre. A number of lengths of field boundary occur nearby but not forming any obvious pattern. Adjacent to SLY 019 (S1).

A possible Later Prehistoric or Roman trackway and associated enclosures or field boundaries are visible as cropmarks of ditches on aerial photographs, centred on TM 23033705 in the field to the south-east of Orwell Cottages, Shotley. The most distinctive feature is the right-angled trackway, centred on TM 23073707. The fragmentary cropmarks of what appear to be rectilinear enclosures are visible at the northern end of the trackway. To the west of this group of features another stretch of trackway, which may be a continuation of the trackway described above is visible, centred on TM 22923704. Other linear ditches visible as cropmarks roughly 200m to the south may be the remains of field boundaries but it is not clear how these relate to the right-angled trackway. (S1-S4)
