Full Description

Double ring ditch, circa 25m diameter. A field boundary appears to cut through it, and it lies within the complex field system, FRT 009, as does smaller ring ditch, FRT 015 (S1-S5).
A probable Bronze Age round barrow is visible as the cropmarks of two concentric ring ditches on aerial photographs, located at (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) to the north-east of Turkey Farm in Freston parish. The two ring ditches enclose areas of 22.5 metres and 16 metres and they probably represent the remains of a ploughed out round barrow. The feature cutting the barrow (mentioned above) is probably a periglacial frost crack (S1-S6). See FRT 009 for the surrounding field system. (S7)
