ARTEFACT SCATTER (Medieval - 1066 AD to 1539 AD)

Full Description

Med scatter found by R Colchester during fieldwalking survey. Area adjoins possible retting pond to NE. Finds consisted of five C12/C13 (shelly), four shell tempered sherds, 54 Med sherds, four C13 sherds, four C13/C14 rims, two C15 rims and two fragments of lava quern (S1)(S2).
Formerly mislocated on HER map to TM 0926 6308 (CP, 198911).
