Full Description

Slight mound of burnt flints adjacent to a slight hollow observed by upcast from mole-hills etc in meadow (S1).
Possibly same as referred to by Leaf in Swales Fen, "where a large pot-boiler mound is known to exist". Plotted ? by Leaf in field by field survey on six- inch maps (S2).
Test boring in the hollow revealed 0.6m to 0.75m of peat above sand (S3).
