Full Description

Large Rom scatter, mainly pottery, but also tile, animal bone, oyster shell etc., and spindle whorl (now lost/destroyed in fire at Mildenhall Museum). Site discovered fieldwalking by C Pendleton, circa 1966.

(see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) have produced Rom pottery on N (MNL 091) and S (WGN 008) (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s).
1986: Fieldwalking by M J Hardy for Fenland survey. Results not yet available.
Metal detecting in Oct. 2000 - small bronze key (locking) found. Details in S2.
Also ESax metal detected finds from cemetery in SW of area (in (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s)) - see Sax.
