Full Description

Elliptical Neo jet bead with longitudinal perforation (cf example from Isleham Fen, Cambs (S1)). Broken in half along longitudinal axis and rebored in four corners, second break halves one of these smaller secondary perforations, a final perforation was then added in the centre and at right angles to the axis of the original drilled perforation. This last rebore is markedly cruder than the earlier ones and is paralleled in the Fengate elliptical jet bead (S2). Only known example with two phases of secondary perforations. Found fieldwalking on field surface by C Pendleton in April 1976 (S3).
For other Neo & BA finds from field, see MNL 121, 130 and 235.
