Full Description
Mildenhall (area). Polished flint axe reported in 1974 (S1)(S2). Also note very large number of Neo artefacts in BSEMH collections from Fen edge regions & Mildenhall parish, consist of mainly collectable items, such as arrowheads and axeheads but some other material. Includes both purchased and donated finds, such as Dolph Bacon collection, mainly from West Row Fen & Gravel Drove.
Formerly recorded as MNL MISC
1997: Broken flint artefact, bifacial, 10mm thick, yellow-brown patina. Small areas of polish on edge and in centre of one face, probably a late neolithic knife, details in (S3).
