Full Description
1987: Following discovery of a human skeleton during construction work, small scale excavation carried out by J Plouviez for SAU. Mostly Rom features but also `a large circular pit, ... filled up with domestic rubbish including IA pottery dating to around 300 BC' (S1).(S2) Only top `five feet' of pit excavated but typical bell or ballon shape apparent.
