Full Description
Probable hoard accepted as such by Fox (S1).  Found in `Lakenheath' in same field in period of 6-7 years (1906-1912).  Consisting of:-  pieces of a decorated socketed axe;  blade end of palstave decorated with 4 parallel flutings, length 5.9 cms, weight 162 gms;  blade fragment of sword, with edge bevels. Slight S bend in blade suggests deliberate breakage, length 8 cms, weight 98 gms;  5 fragments of ingot/cake, lengths between 3.5 and 4.7 cms, weights between 61 and 187 gms, totalling 603 gms.  Formerly listed as Cambridge Museum 1908.115 (S2)(S3)(S4).
