Full Description
Foot half of cruciform brooch, "horses head" type found with a metal detector by an American serviceman, `on site of a new warehouse on Lakenheath base'. Seen by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s), who was given the information by finder, who was selling all of his metal detected finds at an Antiques Fair on Mildenhall Airbase in circa May 1988. Believed to have been found earlier that year (S1). Precise location of `New Warehouse' not known, but note other Sax finds from locality ERL 008, 046 & 055.
