Full Description

Small hoard ? of two socketed axes `discovered in a rabbit scratching on Lakenheath Warren' in 1934 (S1)(S2)(S3).
Presented to IPSMG by Mrs R V Favell in 1934. Hoard consists:- a looped wing decorated socketed axe with slight damage to socket and severe blade blunting in places, probably due to some form of usage, length 10.9 cms; plain looped socketed axe also having a blade edge severely blunted in places (? by usage), internal ribs, length 9.9 cms. Dated to `Ewart Park Phase' C9-C8 BC (S2).
