Full Description
Bronze chape. A note in W J Andrews' rough catalogue reads "Bronze chape for dagger sheath. Late Celtic ornamented. Found at Lakenheath, Suffolk, Presented by Major Carlyon-Britton, FSA, Christmas 1910". Presented (to IPSMG) by the Winchester City Museums, to which they were bequeathed by Mrs H E Tilling, widow of the late W J Andrews, FSA (S1).
