Full Description

Rom artefacts from `Lakenheath' purchased by Cambridge (University) Museum between 1907-1916 (S7).
1907: 3 bronze fibulae `from Lakenheath & Tuddenham'; a small bronze cup shaped weight; 3 glass beads `from Eriswell & Lakenheath' (S1). 1908: 2 bronze pins, one plain, with flat, nail shaped head (2.3 ins long), one bearing ornate grooving - imperfect (Rom?) (S2).
Circa 1910: Stout penannular bronze finger-ring with incurved scroll ends (S3).
1911: Bronze brooch with rope-pattern, beaded bow and large openwork pin catch, 2.7 ins long; small, plain annular bronze brooch with ridged face, 0.9 in diameter; stout bronze pn with orange-shaped head and beaded neck, 0.8 in long (S4).
1915: Small penannular bronze bangle (rope-pattern), with tapered ends (S5). 1916: 2 bronze bow brooches (imperfect); bronze disc brooch with milled edge (Rom?), showing figure of animal in relief (possibly same as backward- looking beast brooch - see Misc Sax); bronze steelyard (S6).
