Full Description

Stone battle-axe from `Wilton Heath, Brandon' in OXFAS (Evans Collection?) listed in Roe Gazetteer as from Suffolk (S1)(R1).
If Wilton Heath was in Brandon parish it was probably N, NW or W of Wiltonhill (which centres on TL 755 860). However, it may be in Norfolk. Note Evans records this as `a quartzite axehammer found with an "urn" on Wilton Heath' (R1), which Fox cites as in Norfolk (S2).

Formerly recorded as BRD MISC
