Summary

The site of former World War Two structures and an earthen-covered air raid shelters is visible on aerial photographs. Additional structures are probably present but obscured by the trees on the aerial photographs. The function of this site is unknown. All the structures may relate to air raid shelters, although it is possible that the site has a more operational function.

Full Description

March 2014. Lothingland, Lowestoft and North Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Mapping Programme.
The site of former World War Two structures and an earthen-covered air raid shelters is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2). Additional structures are probably present but obscured by the trees on the aerial photographs. The function of this site is unknown. All the structures may relate to air raid shelters, although it is possible that the site has a more operational function. Activity is also visible at this location in 1941 (S3).
