Full Description

Cropmarks of former irregular field boundaries to south of road and parish boundary with irregular sub-rectangular enclosure, circa 40m by 20m adjoining on S side (S1).
Not shown on 1880s or later OS maps.
Flint axe REY 004 possibly found within area of field boundaries.

May 2014. Lothingland, Lowestoft and North Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Mapping Programme.
Cropmarks of possible former irregular field boundaries with an irregular sub-rectangular enclosure adjoining to the south-east are visible on aerial photographs (S2-S3). A possible trackway is also visible. The monument polygon has been extended to the east to include a further single linear ditch which appears to be on the same alignment as the possible trackway.
Additional ditches to the north of the road have been recorded as SHER FOS 027, although it is possible that they may have been related to this field system.
