Full Description

May 2014. Lothingland, Lowestoft and North Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Mapping Programme.
An area of possible medieval to post medieval earthwork banks, ditches and enclosure as well as an area of possible ridge and furrow was identified on aerial photographs (S1) on land to the south of Benacre Hall and Park, Wrentham. The ditches to the north east of the site were visible as cropmarks, but did not appear to correspond to any of the excavated features mentioned as part of the evaluation carried out in this area (SHER BNC 048), and have therefore been recorded with a note of caution.
E. Ford (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 14th May 2014.
