Full Description
May 2014. Lothingland, Lowestoft and North Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Mapping Programme.
Cropmarks of undated linear ditches are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2) on land to the south-east of Walnut Tree Farm, Benacre. It is possible that these features represent medieval to post medieval field boundaries, or that they may be post medieval drainage ditches. There are several marks visible as ‘lodging’ in the crop on the earlier photographs (S1), which may relate to geological marks rather than archaeology.
E. Ford (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 20th May 2014.
