Full Description
Cropmark of possible small enclosure. S1
May 2014. Lothingland, Lowestoft and North Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Mapping Programme.
Cropmarks and soilmarks of undated possible field boundaries are visible on aerial photographs (S2-S4) to the west of Moneytree Clump, Benacre. The northeast-southwest arm of the possible enclosure mentioned above has been identified as the section of World War Two anti tank ditch recorded as (BNC 086). The monument polygon has been extended to the north and the east and west to include further features.
It is possible that the field contains other features, although all the features are visible against a background of geological marks and it is difficult to discern the full extent of the archaeological features.
E. Ford (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 20th May 2014.
