Full Description

May 2014. Lothingland, Lowestoft and North Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Mapping Programme.
The site of a World War Two searchlight battery and type 22 pillbox is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2). The state of the site earthworks and structures in 1945 (S1) could suggest that this searchlight site was used during the earlier part of the war. The pillbox survives as an extant structure.
