Full Description
July 2014. Lothingland, Lowestoft and North Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Mapping Programme.
Ring ditches which may represent Bronze Age round barrows or possible prehistoric hut circles are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1), on land to the south of Black Street, Gisleham. They are visible against a background of geological marks, and their archaeological provenance is in doubt, as they are only visible on one set of photographs.
Several field boundaries, of possible Roman origin, are also visible in this field, and have been recorded separately (SHER GSE 078).
