Full Description
July 2014. Lothingland, Lowestoft and North Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Mapping Programme.
The cropmarks and soilmarks of a series of boundaries of unknown, but possibly medieval to post medieval date, are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S3). These would appear to pre-date the surroundings field pattern, but may just represent an earlier phase of historic, medieval to post medieval, fields. Some fragmentary ditches included within this site to the east are undated, but may be earlier in date.
S. Horlock (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 2nd July 2014.
See MUD 037 for results of monitoring village underground electricity cable.
