Full Description

Extensive, probably multi-period cropmarks. Cropmarks of a possible large cuvilinear enclosure of unknown date, that has been truncated by the churchyard, the enclosure is up-to 125m wide. A smaller curvilinear enclosure is located 15m to the north, this enclosure is 38m in diameter and is partially masked by geology. Other features within the complex include some linear ditches and several pits. To the west of the churchyard is a trackway 120m in length and 10m wide and to the west of this is a possible ring-ditch 16m in diameter, which may represent a ploughed out Bronze Age round barrow. Helen Saunders (Essex County Council), February 2014. (S1-S3)
